Following the success of her previous show, *Je demande la route* (I Ask for Directions), Roukiata Ouedraogo returns with a new one-woman show where humor and emotion intertwine to tell two unique life stories. On one hand, Uncle Théophraste, a victim of the Black Tax, feels the need to seek happiness elsewhere, far away, in the north. On the other, the Repatriate, the Afro-descendant, weary of France, believes he will find success and fulfillment elsewhere, far away, in the south, in his parents’ country of origin. Faced with disillusionment, they will have to demonstrate resilience but will ultimately discover the joy of reinventing themselves.
